Velvet Buzzsaw
Feb. 6th, 2019 10:40 pmFeeling like absolute garbage. I've just flat out exhausted for the last three weeks, beyond my typical fibro levels of tired. And yesterday I started feeling that itchy sinus feeling in the back of my throat that just smacks of a cold. Woke up this morning with an actual cold and worked from home (thanking the bad weather a bit for making it a little easier on my conscious to call in). Had to cancel D&D tonight because I knew I wouldn't be up to much other than some television and an early bedtime.
Since I'm just doing nothing anyway I thought I'd try and watch the new Netflix movie, Velvet Buzzsaw.
So far my biggest complaint with the movie is [no spoilers here] that at one point there's art packed away in a crate for storage that is made of multimedia pieces and they're all just stacked one on top of the other with no protection from the other pieces, no protection from movement during transport and no protection from the weather through the wooden crate they're packed in. Dumbest thing in the whole movie which is saying something for a horror movie about a dead artist getting revenge on people for profiting off stolen artwork. (All things considered the name is pretty dumb too, but saying more would give that away.)
Actually I liked the movie overall. High quality production of a really interesting concept. Definitely worth watching if you're into that kind of thing.
