This was supposed to be last week's New Music Friday post, but well... that didn't happen. I'll talk more about that in another post. This is also a product of my Google Play account getting transferred to YouTube music and me having to use my second YT account to move my music. So I've separated out my regular YT subscriptions from all my music ones. Why I didn't think to do this forever ago, I don't know but here we are.

I think I've talked about the podcast "Punch Up the Jam" before. It's one of my favorites; each episode breaks down a pop song suggested by the guest. It's funny and sometimes raunchy and if you're a fan of music, it's just a good time. Anyway, recently the host of the podcast, Miel, released an album of her own. It's lovely sort of soft electronic pop songs. You can find it here on BandCamp.

If you're a vinyl fan, another of my favs who I've posted about many, many times, Orla Gartland, just released her first album on vinyl. You can find that here.

Kawehi posted a new cover, this time for Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill". I love it, though I can't handle the graphics on the video, so I'm just going to link to the video, which is here. (CW for the video: kalediscope body shapes/manip'd faces. Lots of teeth.)

A dodie cover of HAIM's "Man From the Magazine". Very low vibes and I always like seeing new things from dodie. Video on YouTube is here.

NPR posted a Tiny Desk (Home) Concert with Lenny Kravitz here.

Both Bush and Taylor Swift dropped new albums, I feel like I probably don't have to link you to those, but I'm linking them on Spotify anyway so you can do with those what you will. And I not even low-key kind of love both of these albums, so here we are. Neon Trees ALSO has a new album out so if you need some more mellow rock vibes in your life, go there.

And for the video portion of our post, I have two offerings:

This really pleasing western video from LP in this amazing pink suit look. It's great.

And then, Breaking Benjamin just dropped this older live video of them with Gavin Rossdale singing a cover of "Would" by Alice in Chains at a concert earlier this year. I am missing concerts SO MUCH right now because concerts are the most regular time my best friend and I get together these days. And this video is not also a great cover of a classic, but it hits all those good and bittersweet concert feelings for me right now. I'll be coming back to this one often, I think.

Thus concludes this random collection of music bits I started typing up last Thursday and have finished now a full week later. I hope you've had a good week. Let me know what you've been listening to, because I finally have my office room back to myself and I've been streaming music in here non-stop.
