Thanks so much for writing for me. I'm very excited about this exchange, I love the chance to write and read about women in media I love more often. If you want to see things I like you can visit my tumblr or twitter (same name as here for both), or things I've written for these pairings all under this same name. Anon questions are also open on my tumblr, so if you need to ask me something, that's a good way to do it.
Specifics: For all fandoms, I'm interested in fic that could be sexual, romantic or platonic. I love the play on lights and darks in stories, tough choices that don't always turn out the way you want them to, and it doesn't always have to have a happy ending. PWP stories are good here too, whatever works for you.
Things I love to see in stories: dark comedy, witty banter, vivid imagery, literary & historical references, melancholy tone, moral and sexual ambiguity, social commentary, emotionally intense relationships without an acknowledged sexual relationship, serious and/or goofy story twists (with or without red herrings), writing, characters with crazy hobbies, nostalgia, music, changes in power dynamics, unreliable narrators, f/f relationships that may or may not be explicitly sexual (but especially those that are), light and dark image dichotomies, faulty and questioning faith, perseverance, subversive religious ideals and relationships
Things I avoid/DNWs: epistolary fic, parenting, alcoholism/addiction, a/b/o, bodily fluids
The Fandoms
Carmilla (Web Series): : Laura Hollis, Carmilla Karnstein
Words cannot describe how much I'm in love with this show. Honestly, I wouldn't care what you write me as long as it's got the voice of the characters and is even a little bit fun. Carmilla & Laura are such a fun, witty and wonderful couple. I Love their adventures at school -- all the stuff that happens off screen. I love Carmilla's protectiveness, her snark, her hints at vulnerability. I'd love anything that focuses on them as a couple. But if you have a preference for a more solo character based fic, any focus on Carmilla pre-Laura or during that first year I would also really love. (I've also seen the movie, so if you wanted to include mentions of that, they're welcome too.)
Dragon Age: : Isabela, Josephine Montilyet, Isolde Guerrin
For the most part I kind of consider Dragon Age to be the fandom where I live pretty much all the time. It's been my main fandom since before Origins came out, when all I had was the strained relationship between Maric, Rowan & Loghain to live on. I love so much about this stupid world and it's characters and it's hard to just whittle down to a few, but these two ships are kind of the ships of my heart. My tumblr is FULL of Dragon Age nonsense and I don't plan to stop that really ever. I'm am totally here for the warrior companions and characters though. If I had to pick one character type, that's what it'd be. Teagan, Aveline, Meredith, Cullen, Cassandra, Blackwall - there's so much about these characters and what makes them tick that I can't get enough of. But when it comes right down to it, Teagan, Isabela and Aveline are my absolute favorite characters. And I love them enough I can spread the love out to multiple ships for them.
For Isabela: I love her loyalty and wit, her strength and her secret good deeds. I have a strong love for the dynamic between her an Aveline both as friends (and potentially romantic partners). Aveline's sense of duty, her loyalty and dedication, and I love the way she and Isabela develop throughout the story as characters individual of each other but also because of each other. Their friendship is also something that's really important to me, especially as someone with a similar sense of humor (where the best friends you have are also the ones you can rib at, or tease like you might a sibling). For Isabela, I also would love more about her time as a pirate, raiding ships, freeing slaves, looting whatever she can get her hands on. I like the idea of her flirting her way from town to town before and after her time with Hawke's group. Sky's the limit with her.
For Isolde: What a strange complicated character. I for the longest time in my first playthrough, thought for some reason that she was Teagan's wife, not his brothers. But it does beg questions about what their relationship is really like. Especially as Eamon is older and sickly for a time and it seems Teagan is taking control of things. I'd love to read more about her beginnings in Redcliffe after the last war, what it must of been like for this young woman from Orlais to stay behind because she fell in love, when she could've gone back to her homeland.
For Josephine: I'm especially fond of her humor and her ability to know exactly the right things to say. I like that as a romance option she's a little slow into the relationship, but incredibly sweet. And very smitten by her partner. If you're feeling shippy, I love the idea of her and Cassandra together, but I'm also on board for the sort of redemption arc that Blackwall gets with her if you keep him around. I'm also terribly invested in her family, the arranged marriage, the Inquisitor potentially dueling on her behalf! All that is so much fun.
Assassin's Creed (Video Game): : KASSANDRA. Group: Kassandra & Myrinne
My beautiful and murderous Spartan wife! I absolutely adore her. I would love anything here. I've put over 100 hours into that game and cannot get enough of her. I love that she can be indiscriminate about the partners she's with. I love that she doesn't give a shit about returning to Sparta and only does it for her mother. I do have some pairings for her I love; Odessa or Daphnae are my favorites so far. As is the villager woman who is too insatiable for her own husband. I would love to know what that night is like. Kassandra with Xenia is amazing, the pet names Xenia has for her are lovely, and I love these big treasure hunting quests Xenia sends her own. They mirror Daphnae's beast quests in a way too. Her relationship with Myrinne when they're reunited is so sweet. Them fighting side-by-side is really wonderful and I have a soft spot for a future where they could've spent so much time together.
