New Year, Welcome New & Old Friends Alike
Jan. 2nd, 2020 12:02 amWelcome to 2020, I suppose. I spent my day doing nothing but binging Daybreak on Netflix (which I enjoyed, given that I finished the first season). I have to work Thursday and Friday but we've made first of the year plans with friends for this weekend, and maybe bad movie night plans for next weekend. Both of which sound fun.
Yuletide reveals happened which means I'll put up a full Yuletide post with my stories and my gifts, hopefully a round of recs as well, sometime in the next few days. I'm trying to be lazy just a little bit longer, I think, holding on to that empty kind of everyone else is on vacation kind of vibe. I don't like setting resolutions in January, or deciding on goals or what-have-you. I'm more a make changes when they come to you year-round kind of girl. I do like the fresh new feeling of new planners, new calendars, new tracking spreadsheets. I didn't create those today, but will refreshing all my digital over the next couple of days. My physical bullet journal is prepped and I have my new Unsolicited Advice planner ready to go.
If you're new here via a friending meme or the
snowflake_challenge welcome!

You've might have met me previous years as Cherith on tumblr or twitter or AO3. In late 2018 those all changed over to singedsun as I'm here now. I have fandoms and details in my profile that you might need, as well as links to other places you might find me online (twitter, usually). I really don't have like ONE main fandom these days, I keep a pretty open mind and am always willing to try out something new. I'm a pretty open book here, though I tend to put my more real life and/or health related posts restricted to friends. Which I happily welcome.
2019 was back on DW after a name change and a long absence from both DW and LJ. I came back after the last Tumblr purge and haven't regretted it at all. I'm looking forward to posting more in 2020 and seeing what more it brings me. <3

Date: 2020-01-03 04:09 am (UTC)That Unsolicited Advice planner is delightful! I'm still putting my planners together - bullet journal/journal, traveler's notebook set up for business stuff and a traveler's notebook set-up for other life stuff - it seems like this year is slow-going in the structure-building department so far. Though it could just be that post-holidays liminality holding sway. Regardless, I'm wishing you a lovely 2020!

Date: 2020-01-04 06:48 pm (UTC)I like the sense of turning that the new year gives me for resolutions but I also like new goals each quarter or month. I guess the mix makes me happy. But it's also good to do everything as it comes to you.
