New Music Friday

Well it took me the whole of the new Fire from the Gods LP to figure how to change the css on my reading page to overwrite the font size so they're all the same. I know DW coding can be finicky and beggars cant be choosers when they're modifying code they didn't write themselves. And honestly it's not the majority of posts, but sometimes people copy/paste from other sites and I just REALLY like the uniformity of each post looking the same so my brain can easily scan for changes like fic headers and quoted text and whatnot. (I've got a longer post stewing about things that relate to this, but I want to get this one up first so I can focus back on my NaNo writing.)
Those of you who have been here a while know that I adore a cover song. Even somewhat bad ones. But I LOVE a heartfelt one. Specifically I have a DEEP DEEP WEAKNESS for covers of "In the Air Tonight". In fact I have an entire playlist on YouTube specifically for covers of this dumb song. This week however, is an fantastic piano cover by Sierra Eagleson (who many of you might have seen in her brother Chase's videos I've posted many of before). Her voice is so amazing, deep and heartfelt and her composition for this cover is unique. If you only watch one video from this post this week, make it this one.
Backtracking slightly... I've linked stuff from Fire From the Gods before, but now that their full album is out (which I mentioned at the top of this post), next up is a song from that album. If you like bands like Breaking Benjamin, Cold, Linkin Park, 10 Years, Flaw... and so on, please check these guys out. And I'd recommend listening to more than one song if you are into the sort of NuMetal genre at all because not all the songs are the same here.
I really love the new Kesha song, "Raising Hell". Below is the live version from the Jimmy Kimmel show because I like the performance here with Big Freedia. However, if you should rather check out the VERY GOOD music video version that came out last week, go here instead.
Just one fun bonus for those of you who like Amanda Palmer's punk cabaret style. You might check out her new collaboration "The French Brexit Song". It's a little tongue-in-cheek on the phrases we get from the French. UK citizens amid Brexit issues, I won't be mad if you skip this one. [YouTube]
I hope you found some new music this week that you enjoyed. And if it's not here, share it with me!
And now, back to NaNo writing.
