New Music Friday
Jul. 18th, 2020 01:56 amWelcome to Friday (or Saturday I guess, in most parts of the world). Did anyone else have a weird Friday? I felt totally drained today and out of sorts. The boys were also just low energy today too and a little more not themselves than usual. About dinner time I got hit with a huge migraine so that was obviously part of my problem. Just now at almost 2am it's finally getting a little better but that's after a lot of caffeine, some yoga and food, and an attempt by my new rescue meds. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
On YouTube today we had a new drop from Bush, called "The Kingdom". It's a lyric video -- which I tend to prefer sometimes to regular videos. There is some glitch and flashing effects on the video, so if you don't good with that kind of thing, you can also listen here on Spotify. In fact it wasn't just this video from them today, they dropped a whole new album of the same name, which you can listen to here. Bush is also putting on a livestream on Saturday evening on their website that I'm excited to watch.
New song today from Oceans of Slumber. If you don't know them, they're heavy metal with a melodic bent and a black female lead singers. I don't know that I have a good comparison for them, maybe the old Howard Jones Killswitch Engage days, if you're into that kind of thing.
Lastly a brand new song from Grace Carter featuring Jacob Banks, whose voice I'm absolutely in love with. This is a soulful R&B collab that's thoughtful and mellow and hit just right this afternoon when I listened to it.
Tell me what you were listening to this week? Anything new? Or some good old comforting favs?
