New Music Friday
Jul. 20th, 2019 02:54 amI have horrible knees from a few really bad falls in my early twenties. The other day my left knee twinged a bit and I babied it and by that night the pain was gone. Then yesterday as if feeling left out my right knee started to get really sore and this morning, I was limping and having a hard time getting around everytime I stood up. Once I was up and moving it wasn't too bad. Then this afternoon to celebrate a very large project we just finished at work, our bosses took us out to an Escape Room and then for drinks/food afterward. Well I was fine during the Escape Room (my group escaped -- more on that in another post maybe) because I was standing and moving and more focused on the puzzles. But once we were sitting down for drinks and food, my knee really started bothering me, mostly because the way we were seated made it very hard to stretch. Cut to me coming home in extreme pain and crying this evening as I took my pills and tried to lay down with some ice and pillows to help.
I said all that to explain that today's New Music Friday will have links but not video embeds just to make it easier on me at this laptop, since I'm still laying in bed with a pillow between my legs.
That's all for now. Maybe when I'm back at my desktop I'll put some videos in.

- Jeremy Renner - Nomad I don't know how other people are feeling about Jeremy Renner's foray into music, but I'm very much enjoying it. On his channel they've put up a lot of lyric videos for his songs too, which I really appreciate.
- Kevin Osuloda/"KO" - Don't Dream It's Over Kevin is one of the members of Pentatonix, best know for his amazing beat boxing skills. But he's also this amazing musician and he really shows it off in these covers he's been posting.
- Brass Against - Ænema (Tool Cover) ft. Samuel Hope Brass Against is this amazing metal cover band and Sam's voice is the PERFECT counter for Maynard's vocals. This is so good.
- Charli XCX & Christine and the Queens - Gone I have no idea what's supposed to be going on in this video (if anything) other than this chemistry between Charli & Christine and really tbh that's all you need.
- Mal Blum - Pity Boy This is a link to the whole album on Spotify because I couldn't just pick one song. I saw Mal perform as the Weather in a Welcome to Night Vale live show last year and they were just so lovely and so good. Very reminiscent of a 90s singer-songwriter vibe and I'm here for it.
