A cheat for this first one because it was created for me. But not very many people have seen this piece. It's a completely inspired watercolor piece created by artist for a co-written Dragon Age story based on the Little Red Riding Hood fairytale.
For a really, really long time I had trouble getting artwork commissions to go right. I would come to an agreement with a fanartist, pay half (if needed) up front and then it would be months before I'd get any information back which was usually the artist saying they couldn't do it after all. I lost money and I lost connections because I didn't lie to people about how easy/hard an artist was to work with. Laura is an absolute professional who took my request and made a fucking amazing piece of artwork.
( The Red Cloak )
This is framed an hanging up in my house and even though there's not a lot from this particular time in my life I look back on fondly, that painting is absolutely one of them.

Next is one of the first fanfics I remember bookmarking on AO3, even though it was created years prior. Labyrinth is probably one of my top three favorite movies, if not my favorite, and finding this perfectly toned stories to fit the sort of dark themes that accompany the movie was a lovely surprise. There are a few tags not included on AO3 except for in the notes, so cw for language, violent imagery and dubious consent.

Jesters - A Critical Role Parody Music Video by ginny di
I think the video is going to speak for itself to most Critical Role fans who might not have already seen this video. Which if you haven't, you're welcome. For the rest of you, if you've ever seen White Christmas then you know this song and the scene this AMAZING Jester cosplayer is parodying here. White Christmas is my Christmas movie go-to. I watch it every year, sometimes multiple times. I adore Danny Kaye for one, but also it's just packed full of Christmas nostalgia for me (which is how most people settle on the right holiday movie for them, I think). Not a santa, a leg lamp or odious family drama in sight - which makes it high on my list, regardless of how much I already love it.
This parody of the song "Sisters" which the Haynes sisters sing early in the movie (Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye's characters reprising moments later) is a classic movie moment. Ginny manages to get the whole thing just pitch perfect for both the movie and the character she's cosplaying. I showed this to a friend of mine that has no interest in Critical Role or D&D, but she loves White Christmas, and she enjoyed it just as much as I did.
