New Music Friday
This week wasn't a big one for new music unless you're really into the return of the Jonas Brothers. (I did listen to their new album today and I think "Crossroads" might be my favorite, but it's not going to be an album I return to much like I did for Nick's solo stuff.) But I did collect a few things to share.
I'm not sure this new song from Dessa shows the range of her voice, it's not even typical of the kind of song she releases, but it's really kind of soft and lovely. It put me in mind of the TEDx Talk she did about falling out of love and the brain chemistry of people in love.
Happy Pride to this new video from Kevin McHale. I'm loving the aesthetics in his videos, they're shot with such an detailed eye toward color and composition. I don't know where he's been in the years since Glee (other than doing Glee tours) but it's nice to hear him doing his thing.
Jesus, this new song from Kesha is just the absolute best. There's no real video it's just a Boomerang loop but it's perfect for this song, "Rich, White, Straight Men". I'm so looking for her to put out a new full album, especially if it brings us such treasures as these.
