We were babysitting the little ones this weekend, so most of my time was eaten up by taking care of them. Aiden (who is five) has been playing Spiderman at our house on the PS4 and we're pretty deep into the story at this point and he loves it. I have to help with the bad guys sometimes, but it's amazing how second nature the controls are getting for him at this point. When he fights he remembers to use all the special toys Spidey has way more than I do. Anyway. There was good music this week and since I both want and don't want to talk about GoT, I'm going to let me thoughts on it stew and post my music post instead.
First up I want to link to Tessa Violet's new video for I Like (the Idea of) You. I posted the song last week and it's so good. But I really love the sort of adorable Fosse-esque video she created for it, so I'll just link it here.
Okay for actually videos let me start with one of my favorite bands, Poets of the Fall. They have a new song called The Sweet Escape off last year's album, Ultraviolet. The video is simple, but the song is lovely. They are traditionally considered a metal band, but this is very much a ballad. If you like it though and like more orchestral or melodic metal, I highly recommend Poets of the Fall.
Next up is Cooper & Gatlin's beautifully choreographed video for their song, Fragile. The dancers are Kaycee Rice & Sean Lew who are pretty popular young dancers and Sean was the choreographer for the video. I don't really know this music duo, but I do really love this song (and the dancers) so it's worth a listen/watch.
Last video is this AMAZING cover of P!atD's High Hopes by Drum Tao. I cannot speak highly enough of how absolutely amazing this video/song is. It's such a good cover and the DRUMMING! Holy shit it's cool. If you don't try any of the other songs in my post, try this one.
I'm just going to link a few more really great songs that I enjoyed this week. Not all of them are new, just new to me, but I'm very much enjoying them.

- Old Caltone - The Beast This song is in the first episode of the new season of Lucifer on Netflix and dear god it's good. I had to stop and immediately look it up because it's so moving. Definitely give it a listen.
- Anna Akana - Intervention From popular YouTube actress/writer to musician Anna Akana has really done something different with this video and I kind of love it. The singing isn't great per se, it definitely feels like a cry for help, but the video and concept is really strong.
- Astraea - (I Just) Died in Your Arms A cover on the COVERS channel and such a good one. I love this cheesy 80s song and this is just a really nice cover.
- Malinda - ME! but sometimes minor and Terrifying (ft. The Gregory Brothers) This is a hilariously good cover of Taylor Swift's song, Me! and their switches to minor from major and back again are really well done.
